FMovies is simply a website (better say piracy site) that plays the media content. Though it plays the video content on the platform but doesn’t host any of the video files on its server. This platform links the media contents which are already present in third-party services.
These third-party services don’t own or have legal authority over those files. They never produce content by themselves except by reproducing or illegally making available the copyrighted content. Is FMovies Safe?
We can’t say that the site is completely safe, upon close observation we found that it has a few issues and problems. When you click on a movie or TV show or even at blank spaces, most probably it will redirect to third-party sites(sometimes ads and sometimes unknown sites).
This redirection is not safe at all because we don’t know the nature of the website where it redirects. Those websites can hurt our system by injecting malware, and viruses.
Adult ads are also appearing on the top right corner of the sites and this is bad. These adult stream ads keep popping up even if you close them. This is a bad way to earn money and we suggest that better try other platforms where these types of ads are not being shown.
Is FMovies Legal?
No, FMovies is not legal and falls under illegal sites that offer or let users stream pirated content. We have earlier talked that FMovies doesn’t produce or own any content rather they link to media files hosted on third-party services or better say servers.
Due to the piracy nature, it has faced many challenges in the past. Many countries including India had ordered ISPs to ban the sites in the past. Also, Google blocked in the year 2016 from appearing in the search results. Filipino media and entertainment group ABS-CBN filed a lawsuit against FMovies in October 2017 and the platform was ordered to pay $210,000.

With the optional feature of download being an advantage, users can enjoy as much as they wish.
