The year 2021 is going to be full of surprises for the gamer. The creator of Sherlock Holmes games Frogwares has announced a prequel titled Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. Let’s discuss what we have got so far.

Frogwares has been creating the cinematic universe of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s frictional epic Sherlock Holmes since The Mystery Of The Mummy. Four years was a long time for Frogwares as the most recent published title was “The Devil’s Daughter“. However, the recent announcement has put happiness on the face of Fans around the world.

The new series in the game titled “Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One” will be an open-world exploration of the game’s titular character where Sherlock Holmes will be at the dawn of his detective career.

When Sherlock Holmes Chapter One Is Coming?

Wait for Sherlockian legacy is about to over as something new the series is coming. The Developer Frogwares has finally announced a prequel of its sleuthing adventure Sherlock Holmes on his Twitter handle. The exact release date is in dilemma however Frogwares hinted that it will be sometime in 2021. 

Gamers around the world will not feel any disappointment as the developer team has taken care of everyone’s choice. The Developer Frogwares ensure that Sherlock Holmes Chapter One will available on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC.

The Developer Frogwares teases the fans around the world by releasing Sherlock Holmes Chapter One’s first trailer. Though the trailer didn’t reveal much information but seems that story will revolve around the game’s titular character Sherlock Holmes. The trailer shows a glimpse of Sherlock’s old home which was full of mysterious things.

Expected Story and Core Elements

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is not what gamers were expecting after the end of The Devil’s Daughter chapter. It is a whole new game that talks about the journey of Sherlock Holmes in his early life. The Developer Frogwares has mentioned clearly that story is set in the 19th century where the titular character is a 21-year-old lad. The story covers the whole side of Sherlock Holmes and tells how he becomes the most popular detective in the fictional world.

Epic game in his blog post said that story is set on an open world, a Mediterranean island, where Sherlock grew up and used to live with his mother before moving to England. The first Chapter begins with Sherlock who returns to his old lovely home when he heard the death of his mother. Now he needs to investigate the mysterious death of his mother. In his mission, Sherlock Holmes is not alone, instead of his best friend Dr. John Watson, he had another best friend Jonathan. The team also hinted that Jonathon plays a central role in the story and helps great detective Sherlock Holmes in every situation.

The world is not how it looks like, people may seem cruel, rude, or murderer. These elements and events will shape the identity and behavior of Sherlock and help him to become the detective we know today. Chapter One introduces many tools like disguises, rumors, observation, combat skills, Mind Palace, and many others. It is up to players how he utilizes them as the investigation demands. Each decision Sherlock Holmes makes will put an impact on the game story.
